1. meticulous

= 세심한

  • The client really liked the meticulous attention to detail in your design.
  • If you are too meticulous in your work, you won’t be able to finish it on time.
  • He’s so meticulous in everything he does.

 

2. insecure

= lack of self esteem, fragile

  • He feels insecure about his ability to do the job.
  • Many young people are insecure about the future.
  • It’s very stressful to feel so insecure about my job situation.

 

3. go from A to B

= A에서 B로 변해간다.

  • I go from computer nerd to social influencer.
  • My mood went from happy to sad very quickly.
  • He went from a entry-level employee to the CEO in just ten years.

 

4. overwhelmed

= 해야할 일이 너무 많아서 벅차다. 벅차서 어쩔줄 모르다.

  • I have so many things to do. I am overwhelmed.

= 감동하다, 감정이 벅차 오르다.

5. pick up

= 전화 받다

  • Why don’t you pick up the phone? : I was not in a talking mood.

= 데리러오다

  • You are supposed to pick me up at 3 pm.

= 따라잡다

  • We gonna have to pick up the pace.

= 다시 시작하다

  • I’m going to pick up where we left off last time.

= 상황이 회복/개선되다
