71. get to

= ~할 기회를 얻다/~하게 되다 (have the opportunity to do something), get to + 동사

  • I got to drive a boat.
  • I finally got to meet the CEO in person yesterday.
  • We didn’t get to say goodbye to him before he left.

= 도착하다 (arrive at a place), get to + 장소 명사

  • What time do you usually get to work?
  • Call me as soon as you get to the hotel.
  • I hope we get to the airport on time.

= (어떤 일을) 시작하다 (start doing something) get to + 명사/동명사

  • Let’s get to work immediately.
